So, I was feeling a bit blue and missing San Francisco after my move to Beverly Hills. My brilliant decorator flew in to rescue me. We dove right into the kind of therapy I needed. Colour and design therapy. We made our way around 3rd St, Beverly and La Brea making notes, grabbing tear sheets, and fabric samples. We came back to my new place in LA and worked out a fabulous plan. I’m going to continue collecting vintage pieces as well as re-issues of mid-century modernism. Juicy details: bold use of colour, mixing louis 15th with laquer, lots of chandeliers and silks. Back to many weeks of waiting for beloved Knoll pieces from Italy. The lead is 16 weeks. I swear they take a 12 week vacation and then take 4 to build the furniture.

The Hotel Angeleno at the corner of N Church st and the 405 in Brentwood is a very stark modernist structure.  If you were in the area yesterday you may have seen my arrival to a very special meet and greet.
I always have a wonderful sense of energy and anticipation the first time I meet a fan.  I had spent much of the early afternoon working on tedious projects and it was beautiful to have a chance to release my tensions the proper way. Those who know me well can imagine how I like to unwind after a day of hard work. And to the special fan that I met, I’d like to thank you for a wonderful time.
